Klio and Rebecca started working together in 2006. They have performed both as soloists and ensemble players in the U.K and abroad –Lincoln, Mayfield Festival, Burgh House, The Wallace Collection, Queen's House/Greenwich, St James’s Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields. In addition to recitals their flute and cello duet appears regularly in private and corporate events, such as receptions, wedding ceremonies, promotions and functions. Their programme may focus on a particular style – from classical to contemporary music - or it may be more varied consisting of a range of contrasting works, including background and light music. A unique combination, the Duo offers a beautiful blend of sounds and a real feast for the ears!

Rebecca Hews - Biography

Persephone Duo Rebecca studied at the Royal Academy of Music graduating with first class honours in 2005. She has performed both as a soloist and chamber music player in the UK and abroad. She made her first concerto appearance at the age of seventeen performing the Elgar Cello Concerto, which has resulted in performances of many of the major concerto works throughout England, Ireland and France. Performances include concerts at the Quartetfest and Haydnfest international chamber music festivals, the Brahms and Friends Concert Series, the Saint-Saens Festival directed by Steven Isserlis, the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and the Wigmore Hall.
